Spring time is here!!! Not that we've had much of a winter here in sunny South Florida. They say there are only two season her. Summer, and February. But spring is noticeably upon us. The days are a little brighter and a lot warmer. It's the perfect time to start planning outdoor events with friends and family. The best outdoor event being a good old fashioned barbecue. Head to your local park or beach, fill the coolers with ice cold drinks, and fire up the grill. It's a great excuse just to get everyone together for no reason other than to enjoy each other's company.
The only true major concern being the food, I am always concerned about bringing good food for the cookout. The sides, starters, and drinks are always a breeze, but their is nothing worse than spending all that time cooking and biting into a tough piece of meat. If you are a steak person (like everyone in my family), than something like that can truly put a dent in the festivities. Luckily, I found a great place for steaks. While browsing the net for a birthday gift to send to a good friend of mine from college who now lives in New York, I found this great gift basket site called My Fast Basket Company at http://www.myfastbasket.com. I sent my friend a really nice cookie bouquet (that she was quite pleased with-your welcome Anna), but I also browsed the whole site and found that not only did they carry wine gifts, bruit baskets, and cookies like all of the other basket companies on the net, but they have pages of really nice gourmet food and some of the best looking steaks I've seen. They have Filet Mignon, T-Bones, Porterhouse, New York Strip, and even surf n' turf! You name it!
I normally wouldn't think to buy my meats on the internet especially after some things I've heard about some of these companies that claim to have really good meats but are truly overrated. But this company guaranteed quality. I have been using them for over a year now and I have never been disappointed. And wow are these steaks good. Their steaks come from a Chicago area based steak supplier and WOW are they good. I have been to Chicago and had the best steaks I've ever tasted at places like Magnums or Morton's. These steaks are like being in Chicago (without the cold). So check them out and head to the beach this spring for some family fun! |
