| A New Stone Facelift For Old Bricks And Concrete |
By:

If you are like a lot of people, looking at the ugly concrete foundation or
brick work for years now. You have been worn you to the point of "I have
to do something".
You have though about painting it or have painted it, but that really isn't
what you want. You want it to be an added feature not disgrace. You want
to fix it and never touch it again while adding value and appeal, making it a
feature rather than being disgusted with it.
There are many options out there and some come with problems. The common
choice is artificial stone because it is most known but the problem is, the
very fact it is artificial is not going to add much value and appeal to your
home. Beware there are many versions that the color will come off in your
hand and if not will fade over time.
There is a new stone approach with no problems and all plus's. First, it is
real stone, not man made artificial. Second, it can be installed in minutes
compared to full stone. Third, most important, it is beautiful doesn't cost
any more and rather than replace, it adds value to your home,
Cut River Rock is the real stone approach to covering over just about any
structurally sound surface. Yes, Cut River Rock is real stone veneer, you
have the added feature of each and every stone is different there are, pink,
gray brownish whitish granites. sandstones, quarts stone (whites) some with
white seams and veins running through them. Stones of conglomerate which was
ancient gravel bed turned to solid stone. Even on occasion stones with
fossils in them. No two stones are the same, greys, blackish, browns, white,
reddish, yellowish and the list goes on.
Rather than go through the frustration task of pain staking building with
full stone, it is easier and quicker to use just the thin stone face that you
want to see. You don't need all that mass and bulk not to mention the extra
support needed for full stone.
Cut River Rock thin veneer is about 3/4 " to 2" thick and 4" to 12" in
diameter. Now you begin to quickly see how easy it would be to fit one over
the other in place, and have the narrow joints that are most desired. The
joints will be from 1/4" to 3/4" wide and of course wider at the
intersections.
The real amazing thing, is you can have this real stone on just about any
surface you desire. Yes, right over gyproc wall with no added under support.
The standard building code of 15 lbs per sq ft is more than sufficient. If
you were to put a fireplace in your living room with 8' ceiling or feature
island in your kitchen you would not need any additional support under the
floor joists or wall so long as your house was built to code.
Now the option is here, to use real river rock veneer and in most areas Cut
River Rock doesn't cost any more.
